Long Beach Comic Con - 2012

What a difference a year makes.

Last Long Beach I was only able to attend the Sunday of the show, and it was lackluster to say the least.

This year, and this Sunday especially, the floor was incredibly alive, and people were stopping by to ask what people were creating, and to actually buy stuff (always nice).

I managed to make a profit at this show - a first for me.

The big seller was The Hero Code issue one. Maybe having a second issue out was enough to convince people that this was a serious enough attempt at a series, or maybe people just wanted to take a chance on a new super hero book. Whatever it was, people were into it.

Long Beach has been shifting ever so slightly away from a comic book show and more into an art show - people really do want to get original pieces from known artists - and of known characters - or prints of known characters.

On the whole I had a good time - despite my usual struggle to hear what anyone is saying in a large echoey space!

Next show for me will be Emerald City Comic Con in March, 2013 - see you there!
