Getting ready for Long Beach Comic Con day two.
Day one was decent enough - a good flow of people, nice crowds.
Sold a batch of books - nearly breaking even in day one (I am yet to break even on any show, so to get close on the first day was a nice change).
The layout this year is good, Artist Alley is well placed and all together.
There seems to be less people actually selling books, and more selling prints or original art - a shift at most Californian shows.
The show still hurts a little bit from the lack of definitely comic publishers presence - one gets the sense that no major deals or announcements will be saved for Long Beach - but as an end of season show, it's pretty good.
Last day today - I'll be at table #1811, so stop by and say hi. First comic book or print sale of the day puts me over my costs, so something free for that buyer!
